Firstly, what is a cycle responder? Cycle responders (as part of the NHS London Ambulance) are paramedics who are medically trained to travel quickly on specially designed bicycles within ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????busy City Centres. The LAS staff ride their bikes which are designed to zip through narrow streets, pedestrian areas and shopping centres very quickly – meaning they can be at the scene of a medical incident with great speed.

Cycle Responders not only need custom built bikes, in fact everything they use needs to be customised in a way that makes their jobs faster, easier and more efficient. One of the most important things for a medical professional travelling by bicycle is the bag that holds their equipment; and that’s where Openhouse come in!

Recently Openhouse Products worked closely with paramedic Tom Lynch, the founder of Cycle Responders to make new updates to their cycle panniers. A close relationship is nothing out of the ordinary when it comes to Openhouse and London Ambulance as the both have been working together for over 10 years now!

Here are some images of the panniers:
