Having worked closely with the Emergency Services for over 30 years to design and manufacture bespoke bags for very specific purposes, the panniers that Openhouse have to offer are second to none, that’s why Europe’s leading Emergency Cycle Response Units use our specialist panniers.
The panniers can hold defibrillators, oxygen, entonox, a pulse monitor, blood pressure monitor, mask resuscitators for adults and children, and a range of drugs, dressings and first aid.
Modern, Up to Date Design
Our design team and UK factory take on the feedback from CRU’s and other medical units, we then use it to make our products more efficient and durable to work with, and to keep up with the modern methods of the Emergency Services.
Most recently we have invented a new material called micrAgard Plus, it’s light weight, water resistant, durable and antibacterial, because of it’s many brilliant attributes we now use it across our whole pannier range
Cycle Response Units are Growing
The need for bikes in the Emergency Services is growing rapidly, CRUs now attend approximately 16,000 calls a year and they resolve around 50% of all accidents at the scene.
Halford’s themselves have worked with 60% of the UK’s Police and Fire services. The Openhouse business team see how important bikes will be in medical response teams and are looking forward to kitting out more CRU’s with Halford’s bikes and Openhouse Panniers.
