We couldn’t be prouder to be connected with this amazing project, read on to hear more about the latest updates from The Greater Manchester West Scouts during their trip to Malawi.  When we last heard from them, they were about to depart from the airport ready to take the project on.

Now they are in Malawi, working seriously hard to achieve the aims and goals of the project.  The group of 24 have spent 10 days staying in a village where they have been completing project work.  This entails;

  • Fitting a pump and solar panels to the village borehole.
  • Painting 7 classrooms
  • Planted 55 fruit trees in an orchard
  • Dug trenches to fit trenches from the bore hole to the orchard
  • Built a work area in the school kitchen
