This week, Openhouse have donated a fleet of custom made kit bags to Greater Manchester West Scouts.

The Scouts will be going on a trip to Malawi as part of the Malawi Project.  The trip is in partnership with Kasupe and lasts for three weeks with a 10 day community project.  The goals of The Malawi Project are to:

–              Set the foundations for a health centre.

–              Refurb class rooms

–              Provide Raspberry Pi Computers.

–              Excel sister charity Kasupe, which aims to provide education to local young people. Additional aims of The Malawi Project also consist of giving an international experience, to continue the 4 year GMW international project plan, build strong international links with Malawi and to empower others to gain from international experiences.

These bags will be accompanying the group to Malawi.  We are very proud to have worked with the team to design and supply these bags, in addition to also supplying medical kits.  Throughout their journey, they will be sending us regular updates on their activities along with photos of the progress.  We cannot wait to hear from them and see what the team achieve – watch this space!
