The First Response Backpack is designed to hold all the equipment you will need in an emergency situation. The bag has been developed with an NHS service, and is designed for the frontline first response teams. This bag has been in use with this service for many years, and continues to be made for them. The inclusion of various pouches, including an Adult and Paediatric pouch ensure optimum organisation so that all equipment can be located easily.
The bag has two compartments; one large main compartment and then a smaller compartment on the front. The main compartment holds five pouches, in addition to an inbuilt Oxygen bottle holder. The top compartment holds four more pouches, and also contains an inbuilt zipped up pocket and smaller net pockets.
The main compartment stores the Adult and Paediatric pouches. These two pouches have two internal hinge boards that have elasticated loops to hold small pieces of equipment such as needles. These boards can be lifted and folded so that other items can be stored underneath. The pouches have “ADULT” and “PAEDIATRIC” printed on using Heat Transfer Reflective Printing.
The two additional pouches have clear lids to what is inside can be spotted easily. This also applies to the two bigger pouches in the top compartment. In the top compartment of the bag, there are also two smaller pouches, one of which offers additional elasticated loops and net pockets.
The bag itself is equipped with a grab handle on both the top and side, allowing it to be carried toward a patient. It also has backpack straps which could be an easier method of carrying it across further distances. The bag also has lockable zip sliders which are compatible with our Tamper Proof Seals, ensuring equipment is safe and secure when not in use. The bag is also equipped with rubberised base feet which prevents the material from being dragged on the ground when the bag is lifted.
The bag is made in our micrAgard™ material. This means the bag is anti-microbial and water resistant, which protects the equipment inside form infection and keeps it dry. The pouches are also constructed from micrAgard™ offering further protection and the internal webbing and lining is also treated. The bag has the NHS logo welded on in addition with the relevant service’s logo, however as the bag is made to order we can weld on any logo, or add any additional printing. We can also make the bag in our range of micrAgard™ colours.
