Cardiac arrest; the ultimate medical emergency where every second counts. If you found someone unconscious and not breathing, would you know what to do? According to a YouGov survey, only a meagre 30% of the British general public would feel confident to perform CPR.
So today’s initiative, Restart A Heart Day, is aiming to change that. Sessions delivered up and down the country will be focused on raising awareness and knowledge and of course train people in CPR.
One step everyone will learn in their CPR training is to source and use a defibrillator, the use of which can significantly increase a victim’s survival rate. Yet did you know that there is no specific law in requiring schools or businesses to have a defibrillator on site?
We think this is mad, and the sad reality is many places may only consider installing one after an incident in which one could have made all the difference. So we want to make sure that no one needlessly ends up in this situation and help you get your venue properly equipped.
We’ve chosen two of our best selling units – they have a simple design, give clear instructions and can be used on both adults and children.
