Wirral Chamber of Commerce Invests in Life-Saving Public Access Trauma (PAcT) Kits from Openhouse Products

Wirral Chamber of Commerce has invested in Public Access Trauma (PAcT) kits from Openhouse Products, reinforcing its commitment to workplace safety and emergency preparedness. These specialist kits contain lifesaving medical equipment designed to provide rapid first aid in the event of severe trauma, including catastrophic bleeding, chest injuries, and other critical emergencies, helping to stabilise casualties before emergency services arrive.

The decision to introduce PAcT kits aligns with the principles of Martyn’s Law (also known as the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Bill), a proposed legislation that aims to improve security and emergency preparedness in public and commercial spaces. Named in memory of Martyn Hett, one of the victims of the Manchester Arena attack in 2017, the law will require venues and organisations to implement stronger measures to protect the public from potential threats, including ensuring the availability of essential trauma response equipment.

To mark the delivery of the kits, representatives from Openhouse Products visited Egerton House, Wirral Chamber’s headquarters, for an official handover.
