The Paediatric Patient Transfer Bag is a specialist transfer bag designed in collaboration with the North West London Critical Care Network to support safe and efficient patient transfers. Developed for frontline staff, this innovative equipment bag ensures standardised equipment setup and quick, “at-a-glance” checks, making it an essential tool for the transfer of critically ill paediatric patients.
Inside, the bag includes five clearly labelled pouches — Advanced Airways, Breathing, Circulation, Self-Vent, and Suction — each fitted with elasticated loops and pockets to securely hold the recommended contents. The design was shaped by consultation with over 120 clinicians, helping streamline workflows and reduce unnecessary equipment volume.
