Designed in conjunction with the North West London Critical Care Network, the Patient Transfer Bag delivers standardised equipment and ‘at a glance’ checking to support front line staff when transferring critically ill patients. It contains five labelled pouches – Advanced Airways, Breathing, Circulation, Self-Vent and Suction – with all the elasticated loops and pockets needed to store the recommended contents, as determined following a consultation with over 120 clinicians.

Key Features:

  • You can strap the bag horizontally to any bed or trolley for hands free, weightless carrying, or you can wear it as a backpack.
  • Colour coded modules have an ‘open book’ design and clear lids for easy access and identification
  • Dedicated side pockets for BVM and patient’s personal items
  • Trolley strap sleeve included Internal document pocket on the lid
  • Add the compatible Drugs Bag and save 5%

A widespread and comprehensive consensus (published) used the expertise and experience of many clinicians to safely reduce the volume of transfer equipment carried. Read more about the Critical Care Patient Transfer Bags in the Journal of the Intensive Care Society here. Contents are for demonstration purposes only and are not included.

Hello, we do not sell the pouches on their own as the bags are manufactured with the pouches included. However, I will confirm the costs of this for you with R&D and email them to you for your reference.

Answered by the admin Hello, these bags come as standard so we can't change the print on them as they are already manufactured. However, we could quote for an additional custom pouch to be made to replace the suction one - if this is something you'd be interested in, please email Please be aware this would be subject to our current lead times and an additional charge.

Answered by the admin Hi Ian, I'm afraid we do not have a list, however the bag is designed to be as versatile as possible as it uses large Cam buckles that can be threaded around the bed or trolley frame so that it is not limited to one option. If the bag was purchased and was not suitable it could be returned in unused condition for a refund within 14 days.
